By accessing or using any of our software applications or services, including our GeniusCash Rewards application, Rate Your Wallet application, and our Max Spending application (the "App(s)"), any of our websites, including creditcardGenius.ca and moneyGenius.ca (the "Site(s)"), any of our rewards programs, including our GeniusCash rewards program (the “Rewards Programs”), or any other related services (all of our software, Apps, Sites, Rewards Programs and related services are referred to in these Terms as the “Services”) offered by WeyMedia Inc. or its affiliates (collectively referred to as “WeyMedia”, “we”, “our” or “us”), you (“you”, “your” or the “user”) are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms, you must discontinue your use (which includes accessing) of the Services.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion. Any changes will take effect immediately upon posting the revised Terms on our Apps or Sites. The date at the top of this page will be updated to indicate the most recent changes.
It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any updates or changes. Your continued use of the Services after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
By accessing or using our Services, you represent and warrant that:
You may be required to register for a GeniusID or other account to access certain features of our Services ("Account"). The safety and security of your information also depends on you. You are responsible for securing your account credentials and ensuring that such credentials to any linked third-party accounts (such as bank accounts or credit cards) are protected. You also agree to ensure that you logout from your Account at the end of each session. You are responsible for any password misuse or any unauthorized access. WeyMedia is not liable for any unauthorized access or activity conducted through your Account or connected third-party services. An Account is solely for one person, and one person may only operate one Account, regardless of what features of our Services you use.
You agree to notify WeyMedia immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your Account or any other breach of security. WeyMedia is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your Account.
WeyMedia reserves the right to suspend or terminate your Account at any time, in its sole discretion, including for any suspected breach of these Terms, or if your Account is inactive for an extended period.
You agree to only use our Services in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
In using the Services, you agree to the following restrictions:
WeyMedia makes its Services available for use on compatible smartphones, tablets, and other smart devices. While we strive to ensure that our Services are accessible on a wide variety of devices and operating systems, we do not guarantee that all features or functionality will be available or perform consistently across all devices or platforms.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your device meets the necessary technical requirements for using the applicable Service. WeyMedia does not guarantee that the Services will be compatible with all devices, operating systems, or network conditions. Some features may not be available on all devices or may not function properly depending on your device's specifications or configurations.
You are responsible for taking appropriate measures to secure your device and maintain the confidentiality of any passwords or other security credentials associated with your account. This includes but is not limited to using password protection, enabling biometric authentication, and keeping your device’s software up to date with the latest security patches.
When using the Apps or Websites, you may receive notifications regarding account activity, updates, and promotional offers. These push notifications are meant to improve your experience and provide timely information. You may manage your notification preferences through your device’s settings or within the applicable App itself. However, disabling certain notifications may impact your ability to receive important updates.
WeyMedia is not responsible for any data charges or mobile service fees incurred while using our Services. You are responsible for any and all data costs charged by your mobile service provider as a result of accessing or using the Services on your device.
We may release updates or patches from time to time to improve functionality, security, or performance. You agree to promptly install these updates to ensure the continued optimal performance of the Services. Failure to do so may limit your access to certain features or result in diminished security protections.
WeyMedia makes reasonable efforts to ensure that its Services are free from viruses, malware, and other harmful components. However, we cannot guarantee that the Services will be free from such threats. You are responsible for maintaining security software on your device to protect against potential risks.
All rewards, including GeniusCoins, Levels and GeniusCash, are non-transferable, non-assignable, and may only be used within the App and redeemed as permitted by WeyMedia.
Our GeniusCash Rewards Program offers cashback ("GeniusCash") when you apply for and get approved for select offers through our GeniusCash Rewards App, or the moneyGenius.ca or creditcardGenius.ca user dashboard.
To be eligible for GeniusCash, you must log in to your account and initiate your application on our offers page by clicking the appropriate offer link or button. You will then be redirected to the website of the product you've selected where you'll need to finalize the application.
We must receive confirmation from our product offer provider that you were approved for the product and met all other GeniusCash eligibility requirements. Eligible users will be sent GeniusCash via PayPal or Interac e-Transfer during our next fulfillment cycle.
If you haven’t received GeniusCash offer approval once it's been four (4) weeks since your application date, you can open a GeniusCash ticket in your dashboard. You must open any GeniusCash ticket within twelve (12) weeks of your application for any GeniusCash offer. Once you've provided all the required information for the ticket, we can send it to our affiliate partner to request a manual investigation. GeniusCash is only available to Canadian residents and is payable in Canadian dollars only. Payments for GeniusCash can only be made to users through an active PayPal or Interac e-Transfer account, and are subject to the rules, terms and policies associated with your PayPal or Interac e-Transfer account. Your PayPal or Interac e-Transfer account must be able to accept transfers of Canadian dollars. GeniusCash is non-transferrable. GeniusCash tickets will expire twenty six (26) weeks after the applicable offer expires; this means the associated GeniusCash ticket will be closed and not be capable of being collected.
WeyMedia reserves the right to modify the amount of GeniusCash offered on any deal, at any time and without prior notice, for any reason including but not limited to changes in business budgets, operational needs, or market conditions. This may include adjustments to the cashback amount after an offer has been claimed but before payment has been made. WeyMedia is not liable for any losses, perceived or actual, resulting from such modifications.
GeniusCash is paid at the discretion of WeyMedia. We aim to distribute earned cashback to eligible users on or around the last day of each month. In some circumstances, at the sole discretion of WeyMedia, we may suspend or block transactions relating to GeniusCash. WeyMedia reserves the right to override, revoke and discontinue GeniusCash and/or GeniusCoins payments, and may recoup past payments from you if it is believed, in WeyMedia’s sole discretion, that such GeniusCash and/or GeniusCoins were obtained through suspicious or fraudulent means. WeyMedia further reserves the right to cancel any PayPal payments or Interac e-Transfers that are not accepted, collected, or otherwise redeemed within four (4) weeks of the date payment is transferred to your PayPal or Interac e-Transfer account.
You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your PayPal or Interac e-Transfer account information. WeyMedia, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, or its suppliers are not responsible for inaccuracies of information provided by you or your inability to access your PayPal or Interac e-Transfer account.
We take no responsibility and will not be liable for any errors or interruptions in any of our Apps, Rewards Programs, Sites or Services that result, directly or indirectly, in the failure of GeniusCash to be issued.
Certain features of our Services may require a connection to your online financial accounts. By connecting such financial accounts, including bank accounts and credit cards, to any of the Services, you authorize WeyMedia and its third-party service providers (each, a "Connection Provider"), including Plaid and Flinks, to access and retrieve your financial data from your financial accounts on your behalf. This data may include transaction history, account balances, and details relating to your credit and current financial products. While WeyMedia works with trusted Connection Providers, we are not responsible for their security measures or any breaches that may occur within their systems. You are encouraged to review their privacy policies and security practices before connecting your financial accounts.
WeyMedia takes commercially reasonable steps to protect your financial data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. By using the Services, you agree that WeyMedia is not liable for unauthorized access to your financial data.
Any claims associated with our Services will be exclusively made against WeyMedia and any claims associated with a Connection Provider’s use of your data will be exclusively made against the Connection Provider.
You may revoke access to your financial accounts at any time by disconnecting from the Services within the account settings of the Apps or Sites. Once revoked, WeyMedia will cease retrieving new financial data from your financial institution but may retain previously collected information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our "Max Spending" tool, available through our GeniusCash App, allows you to connect your financial accounts to track transactions and total card spend across multiple connected credit cards or bank accounts. By using the Max Spending tool, users can earn extra cash rewards based on their spending and receive recommendations for financial products designed to maximize their rewards.
To use our Max Spending and be eligible for cashback you must have valid financial accounts that can be connected to the Max Spending tool through one of our Connection Providers.
Users can securely connect their financial accounts through our Connection Providers. By doing so, users authorize the Max Spending tool and WeyMedia to access transaction data and track spending across all connected cards and accounts.
Based on the user's spending and account data, the Max Spending tool will provide personalized recommendations for financial products, such as credit cards or banking services, designed to help users optimize their spending and maximize cashback rewards. Accepting these offers can allow a user to earn cashback.
Users earn cashback on all connected card spending (but for Excluded Transaction listed below), with the cashback rate ranging from 0.1% to 1%, depending on the user’s level. The cashback earned will be calculated as follows:
Each level's rewards will remain in effect for a specified number of months, after which they may expire unless renewed through additional qualifying activities. WeyMedia reserves the right to adjust the rules for leveling up or introduce new methods of earning rewards at any time.
Cashback levels and the corresponding percentage rewards are tied to the product offers you claim and receive. Users may also earn cashback by engaging in activities such as referrals or other promotional programs introduced by WeyMedia. These activities may allow users to advance through levels or earn rewards subject to the terms of the specific promotion.
Excluded Transactions: Certain types of transactions do not qualify for cashback rewards and will not be included in the total spending used to calculate cashback rewards, including, but not limited to:
Cashback earned through the Max Spending tool will be credited to your Account within a reasonable time after the qualifying transactions are completed. The maximum cashback that can be earned per month is capped at CDN$10. WeyMedia reserves the right to modify this cap at any time in its sole discretion. Future changes to cashback caps or reward structures will be communicated through updates to these Terms.
WeyMedia reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Max Spending tool or any related cashback Rewards Programs at any time, with or without notice. Changes may include adjustments to cashback levels, monthly caps, or other program features. Continued use of the Max Spending tool following any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
GeniusCoins (the "Coins") are awarded when completing Quests. Quests may include surveys, games, quizzes, or may require users to take special actions in order to complete them. GeniusCoins are a type of virtual reward which may be used for benefits in the App, such as achieving higher cashback levels. WeyMedia reserves the right to modify the value, conversion rate, or usage of GeniusCoins at any time and without prior notice. This may include adjustments to the number of GeniusCoins required to unlock cashback levels or other rewards, changes to the rewards structure, a particular Quest or the discontinuation of GeniusCoins or a Quest altogether. Users acknowledge that GeniusCoins are a virtual reward with no real monetary value and that WeyMedia is not liable for any perceived loss of value resulting from such changes. We take no responsibility and will not be liable for any errors or interruptions in any of our Apps, Rewards Programs, Sites or Services that result, directly or indirectly, in the failure of GeniusCoins to be issued.
You are solely responsible for any content that you upload, post, or transmit through the Services, or anything sent to us via email, shared on our social media pages or that tag or mention us on social media (the "User Content"). By submitting User Content, you warrant that you own the rights to the content or have the necessary permissions to submit such content. You also warrant that the User Content complies with all applicable laws and does not violate the rights of any third party.
By submitting User Content, you grant WeyMedia a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content, in whole or in part, to improve our Services, and for marketing and promotional purposes, subject to applicable laws and our Privacy Policy.
WeyMedia reserves the right to (i) remove or refuse to post any User Content at its sole discretion, (ii) take any and all action we deem necessary if we believe User Content violates these Terms or poses a risk to us, and (ii) terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Services for any reason or at our sole discretion.
All content associated with and available through our Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, software, and other materials (collectively, "WeyMedia IP"), is the property of WeyMedia, its licensors, or third-party providers. This WeyMedia IP is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
WeyMedia grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not convey any ownership rights in the WeyMedia IP or the Services, and you may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, transmit, create derivative works, publicly display or otherwise use the WeyMedia IP without our prior written consent.
You are permitted to make one (1) copy of output from our Apps or Sites solely for personal and non-commercial use, provided that all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary notices are retained and remain intact on such copy.
WeyMedia reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.
The content and information provided through our Services and other means of communications (such as social media postings and newsletters) (collectively, the "Materials") are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. The Materials reflects our views or the views of our contributors and is meant to serve as a starting point for you to make well-rounded and informed decisions regarding your personal finances.

You acknowledge and agree that your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Services (or any one of them) is to discontinue using them.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WeyMedia, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with (i) the WeyMedia Materials; (ii) any information you supply to us either on your own behalf or on behalf of a third party; (iii) your (or anyone acting under your Account) use of the Services; (iv) your (or anyone acting under your Account) breach of these Terms; and (v) any security breach to (A) any of your accounts connected to your Account, or (B) caused by you to a Connection Provider’s application or system, including such a breach that does or reasonably could compromise the security, integrity or confidentiality of personal information or result in its unauthorized use, disclosure or loss.
By using our Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from WeyMedia, including but not limited to emails, push notifications, and in-App messages. These communications may relate to account activity, updates, promotional offers, recommendations, and other information relevant to your use of our Apps, Reward Programs, Sites and Services.
You may adjust your communication preferences, including opting out of promotional communications, through the App settings or by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in any email communication. However, WeyMedia reserves the right to send you important account-related information, such as security alerts, administrative messages, and updates to these Terms, even if you opt-out of promotional messages.
Your consent to receive communications applies to the contact information you provide during registration or any updated contact information you provide. By providing your phone number or email address, you consent to receive communications through these channels.
Standard data charges may apply for receiving communications on mobile devices, depending on your mobile service provider. You are responsible for any such charges.
WeyMedia reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your use of and access to the Services (including your Account) at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice to you.
If WeyMedia determines, in its sole discretion, that any activity you conduct through the Services is suspicious or involves prohibited activity, we may block any outstanding transactions, including transactions relating to earned GeniusCash. GeniusCoins or cashback, deny new transactions, and/or freeze any funds that may be available to you through our Apps, Reward Programs, Sites, and Services.
WeyMedia reserves the right to terminate dormant accounts after a period of inactivity and to revert any balances back to WeyMedia. WeyMedia will give notice via email to account holders prior to taking action on dormant accounts.
WeyMedia maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward fraudulent activity. You agree not to knowingly or willfully use the Services in or for any illegal, fraudulent, unauthorized or improper manner or purpose and will only be used in compliance with all applicable laws. If we suspect or confirm that a user is engaging in fraudulent behavior, including but not limited to using false identities, submitting false information, engaging in multiple account creation for bonuses, or manipulating cashback or GeniusCoin rewards, we reserve the right to immediately terminate the user’s account. In such cases, any pending or future rewards, cashback, or payments may be revoked or recouped, and WeyMedia may take legal action. In cases where WeyMedia determines that GeniusCash or GeniusCoins have been obtained fraudulently, WeyMedia may issue a formal notification to the user and reclaim the value of the rewards by either debiting future rewards or seeking direct reimbursement. Failure to comply with this recoupment process may result in further legal action.
We may, as reasonably necessary or helpful, collect, use or disclose personal information to ensure the integrity of our systems, to investigate abuse of our service, to detect, suppress or investigate fraud or any violation of our terms of use, and to assist others with such activities. We may disclose personal information to law enforcement where we determine it is reasonably necessary to report or investigate an offence.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. By using or accessing our Services, you acknowledge and agree that you have read our Privacy Policy, the terms of which are incorporated into these Terms.
The Services are targeted to users in Canada. The products, services, reward programs, applications and information described on the Services may not be available in all jurisdictions or to all users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the laws of Canada as applicable herein, without regard to any principles of conflicts of law. You agree that any dispute with WeyMedia, whether arising from or related to these Terms, the GeniusCash Rewards Program, GeniusCoins or otherwise shall be resolved through final and binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act (New Brunswick), to be conducted in the Province of New Brunswick, unless prohibited by law. Both parties waive the right to a trial by jury. If any applicable law prohibits arbitration of a particular dispute, the dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of New Brunswick.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be in full force and effect.
No waiver of any term or condition set forth in these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition. Any failure to assert a right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
